Copper Scrap Solutions: Powering Your Excess into Value

Completely free of insulation, paint, and other impurities, bare bright copper consists of uncoated and unalloyed metal. Consequently, it is among the easiest grades to efficiently reuse or recycle.

Specifically, this scrap category covers clean, unalloyed, uncoated, and untinned copper wires. Furthermore, proper stripping is required before processing this material.

Typically sourced from old underground power cables, this grade frequently carries traces of lead. Therefore, extra handling precautions are necessary during collection and sorting.

In contrast, braziery copper includes material that has already been soldered, tinned, or painted. As a result, it undergoes a different recycling workflow than cleaner grades.

Generated during machining processes, copper turnings are small pieces shaved from larger blocks using a lathe or specialized cutting tool. Because of their loose form, they require secure containment.
